Dear Colleague:

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we invite you to take part in the 11^th International Colloquium on Pulsed and Continuous Detonations (ICPCD) to be held on September 17–21, 2018 in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Colloquium venue will be in the historical center of St. Petersburg.

The objective of the Colloquium is to provide a forum to disseminate to the scientific community the international state-of-the-art and advancements made in experimental and computational fundamental and applied studies relevant to propulsion and stationary power systems of new generation operating on controlled detonations of gaseous, liquid and solid propellants.

The Colloquium is contemplated as a continuation of the previous ten colloquia on detonations partly co-sponsored by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and US Office of Naval Research (“Advances in Experimentation and Computation of Detonations” held in St. Petersburg in 1998; “Control of Detonation Processes” held in Moscow in 2000; “Advances in Confined Detonations” held in Moscow in 2002; “Application of Detonation to Propulsion” held in St. Petersburg in 2004; “Fifth International Colloquium on Pulsed and Continuous Detonations” held in Moscow in 2006; “Sixth International Colloquium on Pulsed and Continuous Detonations” held in Moscow in 2008; “Seventh International Colloquium on Pulsed and Continuous Detonations” held in St. Petersburg in 2010; “Eight International Colloquium on Pulsed and Continuous Detonations” held in Budva Riviera, Republic of Montenegro in 2012; “Ninth International Colloquium on Pulsed and Continuous Detonations” held in Pushkin (St. Petersburg) in 2014), and “Tenth International Colloquium on Pulsed and Continuous Detonations” held in St. Petersburg in 2016.

The Colloquium-2018 program will include four Technical Sessions:

(1) Chemical Kinetics of Combustion and Detonation;

(2) Transient Combustion Phenomena in Various Media;

(3) Gaseous, Heterogeneous, and Condensed-Phase Detonations; and

(4) Applications of Fast Combustion Modes and Detonations in Industry and Propulsion.

Each session will consist of plenary lectures and contributed oral presentations. A Panel Discussion will follow the Technical Sessions.

The deadline for 1-page abstract submission is January 15, 2018 with the notification of acceptance by February 15, 2018.

The deadline for condensed (8-page) full manuscript submission is March 15, 2018. The manuscripts will be published in a book, which is planned to be available for participants at on-site registration.

As usual, the Organizing Committee is planning the exciting cultural program for participants and accompanying persons.

Уважаемый коллега!

От имени организационного комитета приглашаем Вас принять участие в 11^м Международном коллоквиуме по импульсной и непрерывной детонации (ICPCD-2018), который пройдет в г. Санкт-Петербург (Россия) в период с 17 по 21 сентября 2018 г. Коллоквиум планируется провести в историческом центре города.

Цель коллоквиума – собрать представительный международный форум для обсуждения современного состояния, достижений и перспектив в экспериментальном и теоретическом исследовании фундаментальных и прикладных проблем применения управляемого детонационного горения в двигательных и энергетических установках нового поколения на газовом, жидком и твердом топливах.

Коллоквиум рассматривается как продолжение десяти предшествующих коллоквиумов по детонации (Санкт-Петербург, 1998 г.; Москва, 2000 г.; Москва, 2002 г.; Санкт- Петербург, 2004 г.; Москва, 2006 г.; Москва, 2008 г., Санкт- Петербург, 2010 г.; Будва (Республика Черногория), 2012 г.; г. Пушкин, 2014 г.; Санкт-Петербург, 2016).

В программе коллоквиума будут предусмотрены научные секции по четырем направлениям:

1) Химическая кинетика горения и детонации,

2) Переходные режимы горения,

3) Детонация газовых, гетерогенных и конденсированных систем,

4) Применение быстрых режимов горения и детонации в промышленности и в двигательных установках.

На секциях будут представлены пленарные лекции, устные и стендовые доклады. По завершении работы секций состоится пленарная дискуссия.

Конечный срок подачи тезисов докладов (1 стр. на русском и английском языках) – 15 декабря 2017 г. Решение о включении докладов в программу коллоквиума будет сообщено авторам до 15 января 2018 г.

Конечный срок подачи полных текстов докладов (8 стр.) – 15 марта 2018 г. Тексты докладов будут опубликованы до начала конференции в виде книги с выделенным номером ISBN.

Как и на всех предшествующих коллоквиумах, организационный комитет предусмотрит увлекательную культурную программу для участников и сопровождающих лиц.
